Just 4 Today: February 25, 2006

Just 4 Today, I’m going to drink my 2 liters of water — weekends are my biggest challenge. The lack of routine make it easy to lose track of just how much I’ve drunk. So, I guess this is it. Today – 2 liters of water.

What are you going to do today?

Just 4 Today I’m going to drink my water too. It’s raining her today, so I’m not so sure about the walking.

KB sorry I didn’t get the story emailed to you yesterday, but it was a pretty miserable day for me. One question. If I send it as a word doc. attachment will you be able to open it?

KB I put the break thing in there, but it didn’t seem to work or I just did it wrong. If you could fix for me I would appreciate it.

FamilyMan I have the same problem, and am obliged to oppress kbird every time I commit a rant, and request that she give it a “more” as if it were a little Oliver Twist.

How are the wounds from the relocated teeth?

Every week I check for a solution. I don’t mind at all adding the tag. But, I know it is an indignity for you to have to ask.

I got my exercise in early, so that’s one less thing to worry about. We’re trying to decide if I’m going to cook something or go out & eat.

DTF they are much better today. Although I know my dentist took sadism 101 in college. katiebird is such a nice host for putting in the breaks. I know I tried about five or six time and it wouldn’t work. This is just after reading KB’s diary about stories and putting in the breaks.

I’m glad to hear it FamilyMan, it seems like a terrible injustice that with all you are already suffering, you should be saddled with more. Can you find a different dentist?

I haven’t yet, but I’m going to. I’ve got about a page and a half of a scathing letter I’m sending to this dentist and the people she works for.

I worked hospitals in the 70’s and the reason I did was because I liked and wanted to help people. When a so called health professional showing no caring and even contempt for a patient, that’s one of my buttons not to push. Usually I’m in the postition to where I can’t let the rightous anger out, but in this one situation, I find it easy.

I think it will do you good to let her know your views.

And it both angers and saddens me, the truth of what you say about being in no position to assert one’s rights in ANY situation where you or any other human being in need of medical treatment finds themselves for reasons economic or logistical, at the mercy of someone who made a “totally wrong” career choice.

No one who is in pain, regardless of the reason, should be made to suffer. It is a fact that some conditions, some diseases have no cure. And some, like ours, are frequently called “difficult to treat” in the medical journals.

However, there is always something that can be tried, and if all they can offer us are anti-convulsives and pain medications, the government has no business preventing them from just telling our drugstores to let us have all we need, whenever we need it.
