I’m not going to eat between meals and I’m not going to take seconds. Just Today. And I’m going to try it for a year to see what happens.
In terms of my Commitment, the weekdays are always a bit easier for me. I eat breakfast. I bring my water and lunch to work, and I drink all the water and eat only my lunch. Then I come home and eat my dinner and drink a bit more water. And go to bed. It’s so simple.
But everythings less structured (for me) on the weekends. I don’t usually fill the water bottles (I like them to have a chance to dry out once a week.) And I’m home — with a kitchen filled with food — all day. And sometimes it’s very hard to keep my pledge.
So Mondays could easily be a day to ’start fresh’. A day to forgive myself, or not.
But, with the Commitment, that isn’t really necessary. Each day is a new day. Just as we aren’t worrying about tomorrow, we don’t have to worry about yesterday. If there are lessons to learn from experiments try to remember those. But otherwise, let it go.
