The E4T Exercise Blog: A gentle reminder to walk or hop or lift or stretch for 5 minutes an hour.r Yesterday, I had another one of those extra mile evenings. So I know it works.
I’m still struggling to remember and it really helps that I check-in here so often in the evening.r Has it made a difference to you yet? Is it a habit or a struggle?

Since you did ask what I would do now with my evenings, one of my goals is to work on this since it hasn’t become a habit yet. 5 minutes every hour, moving around doing something. Starting with dancing around my room for 5 minutes, to whatever song my computer decides to play for me.
And {{{{{{{Everyone}}}}}}} for all of the encouragement with my defense, I feel all warm & fuzzy inside
monalisa, I’ll try to be better about actually posting hourly updates and reminders. I’ve been distracted and I do the walking, but forget to report it or announce it — either one.
I’m sorry I haven’t been more consistant.
Don’t worry about it. You not posting isn’t what’s kept my butt on the couch… That would be my very well-honed ability to make up excuses to not change (I have to defend soon & I should concentrate on that, therefore I can let the eating/exercising habits slip, etc.). The temporary comforts of food &/or TV are easy to succumb to, but today is a new day and I can make the effort to get past the temptation.
Yes, I find it helps me when I am watching TV, I leave the browswer open to this window, so whether anybody posts what exercises they are doing or not, during commercials, when I would turn to the computer, there it is, reminding me to exercise myself in some way until the program returns, and trips to the kitchen for water or a snack do not count. Trips outside to see the moon do count, though, and so do trips up or downstairs to transport non-consumable items, and so does spinning descendants around in circles.
I will be better about it. I promise. I will.
