J4T I’ll drink my 2 liters of water. I’ll also finish the house and start the lawn. Got a wedding coming up and everything has to be spiffy.

J4T I will drink 2L of water, and not eat between meals. The no sugar deal was ok yesterday, so I’ll do it again today.

Hi Familyman. I registered b/c I wanted to tell you that I have been getting Occipital Nerve blocks from my neruologist who is THE headache doctor in my area. And my area happens to be a hub for medical specialties. The reason it lasts a few hours and then longer is that there is a slow acting drug and a longer acting drug. The way my MD describes it is that after a few nerve blocks, some people can actually experience a remission from migraine. I did have such success. My hormones, however drive mine and got the best of me again, but we started again with the blocks, last week and this week- you can get them as frequently as 5 or 6 days togehter if the migraine won’t give it up. I really think its worth it. The pain is quite minimal, especially if you have a headache already. Usually I feel it more on the side where my headache is less and on the side where my head hurts, the headache sort of numbs the pain pretty good. E-mail me if you have questions. jweller2@rochester.rr.com

Hi Julie. Thanks so much for explaining it. I’ve been looking up everything I can. My doctor said it could give me a remission from the migrianes, so I’m scheduled for one on Monday. I will admit I’ve been a little nervous about it, but your explaination has helped.

It’s so good to talk to someone that has had the ONB. To me it’s one of those things where I’ve tried everything else, now I’m willing to go into something invasive.

Thanks Julie. I’ve been dreading Monday, but now not as much.
