Eat 4 Today – The Commitment. Starting the week with energy for change.

I’m not going to eat between meals and I’m not going to take seconds. Just Today. And I’m going to try this for a year to see what happens.

I like Sundays. I like to keep it unscheduled and spend it mostly on the patio watching the neighborhood kids (it used to be our kids) playing in the circle.c And we grill whatever we’re going to eat on Sunday, so we do a lot of our food preparation out on the patio too. I like to bring my books with me and my water (I used to bring treats, but I don’t anymore) and even a telephone (with callerID) so I don’t have to go inside all afternoon.

I like to dream about the week to come, to think about what I want to accomplish and how I might do it.> If I kept a diary, it’d probably reveal that I invented The Commitment on a Sunday.

I’ve talked about the power of dreams and using that power to fuel your commitment. But, it’s hard to dream if you don’t make the space for it.e With everything that’s going on in our lives, that space can be hard to find. Sometimes it seems that it just isn’t there at all.h But, it can be found in the oddest places and the strangest times.

Do you have a place or time that you can count on for dreaming and thinking? Does it make a difference to your week if you miss it?7 It does with me.

I need that time — and Sunday is as good a day as any — it give me the energy I need to stay focused on all the changes I’m making.

    Hi katieb—your Sunday’s sound wonderful!

I think that my dreaming/planning happens early morning before I get out of bed, usually on w/e’s when I have more time to linger after waking … but I’ve never really thought about it like this.

I like how you take the day to recharge and contemplate and look after your inner self.
