E4T Fruit and Vegetable Bar. Soup — I don’t know how I could forget about it.

The E4T Fruit and Vegetable Bar is both a reminder to eat 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day and a place to talk about tips for sneaking more of them into our diets.

And I don’t think we’ve talked about soup. In our house at least, all soups have lots of vegetables.i Last night we had turkey soup (from a turkey dinner we made earlier in the week.) And we had more carrots/onions/celery and I don’t know what else (since I was lounging on the couch when it was made) than actual turkey.

The great thing about soup for me is that it doesn’t budge my blood sugar at all.
So, tonight we’ll have soup again and I’ll have my sliced apples for lunch this afternoon.c What will you be doing to fit in your 5-9?

  1. So if I had tomato soup and a salad, is that 2?

Oh by the way, there is a very good new bottled salad dressing, called Wishbone Creamy Cilantro and Lime.

I did not look at the label, but you can always dilute it with vinaigrette, or just put a bit. It reminds me of a salad dressing that was popular a very very long time ago called “The Green Goddess.”

  2. Depending on how big the salad is, it might have been 4 servings! :)

And I’ve got to go to the store anyway, I’ll look for the Wishbone Creamy Cilantro and Lime while I’m there.

    Thanks!
