May 6, 2006. Just 4 Today

It’s Saturday morning and the start of the weekend. What have you been wanting to get done? Is there something that just seems too overwhelming to start? Would today be a good day to take the first step?

Just 4 Today, I’m going to drink 2 liters of water, mow my lawn (I think that will include walking at least 3 miles — I’ll let you know for sure later), get caught up on a certain web site and get started on another project that’s been languishing for the last couple of weeks. I’m hoping you will see some sign of that last one by the end of the day.

Afternoon snacks and The Commitment

I’m not going to eat between meals and I’m not going to take seconds. Just today.w And I’m going to try this for a year to see what happens.

The biggest concern that people have when they hear about what I’m doing with The Commitment is that they want to be able to eat a certain snack (it could be a morning, afternoon or evening snack). And that’s a misunderstanding of my pledge.k Because I’m not saying, I’ll only eat my 3 meals a day. Nothing in that affirmation limits the number of meals.P Even for me. And certainly not for you.
