The E4T Fruit and Vegetable Bar is supposed to be a place where we can share tips for working more fruits and vegetables into our diets.

But, it seems that the Metformin (the drug I take for Diabetes) effect has had a very negative impact on my pelvic floor. And one doctor thinks that limiting things like fruit, coffee, chocolate, spicy food and beer could help. So . . . .
I’ve made an appointment with an endocrinologist to talk about it. I’m pretty sick (no pun intended, but it works for that also) of the Metformin effect anyway. And now that my diabetes has been under pretty tight control for 2 years, it’s a good time to evaluate the medication I’m taking.
The thing is (getting back to our discussion of fruit) I’ve got a sweet tooth and I’m going to be in real trouble if I can’t use fruit to satisfy it. I’ll struggle along without it for the next couple of weeks (until that appointment) but it just doesn’t make sense to cut out fruit as a permanent solution.
Today I’ll have a big salad with my lunch. What about you?
