May 29, 2006 – Just 4 Today

Just 4 Today I’m going to drink 2 liters of water, walk 3 miles, take 2 servings of fiber supplement and have coffee with a friend.

I slept later than I could ever imagine! And I’m way behind on each of these things.o What are you going to do today?

J4T I’m drinking my 2 liters of water. My brother finally bought back my gas can today, so I have no excuse to mow now.

But, J4T I’ll do some stuff in the house, because it’s already to hot outside for me.

J4T I will drink 2L of water, and not eat between meals. OK, so I may have slacked off for the past few days. Nothing too drastic, but it’s so easy to fall back into old patterns, and my body is not very forgiving when I eat too much. I will also look for a job today, because being unemployed is not fun.

Hi monalisa, I was wondering how things were going in your job search. And how you’ve done with your goals leading to the family wedding. Is it this summer?

Hi katiebird! Yes, that wedding is this summer. Actually, it’s now less than 5 weeks away!! and I haven’t gotten particularly far in terms of my goal, though I at least haven’t gained any weight. The job search isn’t very exciting yet either, since the only industry really hiring right now is the oil & gas industry (and I don’t want to work where my Master’s won’t be of any use). I should be more patient, and more pro-active, but it’s hard when you send out resumes and get nothing back.

J4T I had planned to do some walking, chip the small pines, and do some yard a work. I ended up doing a little chipping, but then had to help The Boy get a new tire (which turned out to be two new tires) for his car & put them on. Jacking both sides of the car turned out to be plenty of exercise, probably more than I would have got running the chipper.

I guess anything can be a workout, eh?

monalisa, have you thought about working in a science library? They’re always looking for people with M.S.s? And if you got an MLS, you could have faculty status at a university library.
