July 11, 2006 — Just 4 Today

Just 4 today, I won’t eat any Oyster Crackers, I’ll drink 2 liters of water (I’ve already drunk a little over a liter), I’ll take my fiber supplement twice (I’ve taken it once), I will not go to the candy machine (not even to ‘look’), I’ll bring my read-made sandwich and chopped sweet bell peppers to work for lunch.

What are you going to do today?

  1. J4T, I left all my snacks out of my lunch bag. I will eat the really good food I brought to work.

I will get three miles in (according to my pedometer) and drink water when I feel hungry.

I’m also working the phones for my local US House seat canditate tonight, so I have to plan extra carefully. Those guys love to feed the volunteers! ;)

My protein bars came yesterday, so I’m well prepared!

    Have a great day, KB!

  2. J4T I will drink 2L of water and not eat between meals. I will also work diligently on my job search, applying to jobs and working through my list of contacts.

  3. J4T I will drink my water throughout the day, take walks during all of my breaks and learn the art of portion control. I will also pass on an afternoon Coca-Cola. sigh…

  4. My Day: Stayed on plan the whole day. I ended up eating a couple of apricots right off the backyard tree, though.

Walked, watered, and fed. An hour working the phones at Richard Wright’s campaign office…that’s all the good I can do today!

    See you all tomorrow!

  5. It’s good to see you all here (I’ve been buried in projects all day — I don’t usually got his long without at least poking my head in the door!)

I walked 4 miles and drank all my water, but missed the 2nd batch of my fiber supplement :( — I am, however making progress on my projects!

  6. the projects count for something, katiebird!

My progress for today: I drank my water, didn’t eat any snacks but probably could’ve done better with portion control. My biggest problem is that I eat too fast, I really need to train myself to eat slower and more consciously so that my body adjusts in a natural way to the food it’s taking in and I can say “I’m full” at the appropriate time instead of “blech, I ate too much and I feel like crap” – I was in that weird middle place for dinner. So, tomorrow, I shall start over and take it meal-by-meal. Hope you’re all doing well.
