July 23, 2006 — Just 4 Today

Just 4 today I’ll walk 9 miles (I’ve walked 4.5 miles), take my fiber supplement twice (I’ve taken it once) and drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk one liter.)

According to some calorie/exercise calculators I burned 427 calories just by walking those 4.5 miles. If I do that again today (for the 9 miles) I’ll burn about 850 calories just by walking.I I’ll get that last 35 calories off one way or another!

What are you going to do today?

    KB!

Thanks for your blog…and thanks for making the decision to keep it up. I appreciate it.

My day? I had to go grocery shopping for my lunches this week. I got everything I need, every lunch is planned out and prepared ahead if it was feasible.

I walked for 2.5 miles this morning…and it’s already over 90 degrees here.

It’s clear to me that Routine is my friend and a tool for success.

I received your “rock” poster yesterday; it’s in my work bag, ready to be posted in my office. Thanks!

I’m aleady more that a liter down for my water…with this heat, it’s not difficult to do.

    Have a GREAT day!!!

No way I could get exercise in here with temps in the 90-100+ range ! Got in a swimming pool for awhile, but had to supervise a child who can’t swim yet.

Did drink a lot of liquid, but overdid the food a little bit.

It’s really hard when I can’t get in some walking or running.

I don’t walk (outside) when it’s above 90 degrees either — I think I’d faint from that heat.

I didn’t walk the nine miles. All the kids came over as I was getting ready to go out for my last walk. And it just didn’t seem right to leave them.
