Distracting Trends

Just today, I’m not going to eat between meals and I’m not going to take seconds. And I’ll use the Hacker’s Diet tools to help me reach my goal.

I’m trying to figure out how to maintain my focus when things get weird._ For the last week or so we’ve had unexpected visitors around dinner time who’ve either stayed for dinner or caused it to be delayed. The days we delayed dinner I had to eat something (a couple of nights we didn’t eat until around 9pm — once even later) to keep me going. And one of those nights I ate enough that I really shouldn’t have had dinner later.P But I did.

And it’s not much better when people stay for dinner. I’m trying to get rolling on The Hacker’s Diet.w I’d really like to figure out how many calories are in our meals. But with company here every singe night I haven’t been able to.

We’ve also been in the habit of taking a walk just before dark and that hasn’t been possible.. So, we’re thrown off both our diet and exercise routines. The delayed meals would be difficult at any time.- But I don’t particularly want to talk about the details of my diet in front of other people (yet I talk about it here?). So having visitors during the meal preparation period is really making it difficult (almost impossible) to calculate calories accurately.t And I don’t think I’m doing a good job at the estimates I’ve made.

I can see my trendline is edging up not down. So I’m eating more than I’m burning.2 Not a lot — but still, I want to be losing and at this rate, it’s not going to happen. I’ve got to develop a method for following through on my affirmation no matter what the distraction.

That’s my biggest challenge.
