Just today, I’m not going to eat between meals and I’m not going to take seconds. And I’ll weigh myself & use the tools and guidance from The Hacker’s Diet to help me reach (and keep) my goal.
This week has brought a lot of new friends as I’ve followed links from Liz’s SOB lists and Darren’s Speed links and followed the trails onto eMom’s BlogJolt and other side trips (I even stopped in at my favorite cafe for the first time in ages). I’ve gotten pretty lazy this summer and haven’t done a lot of commenting anywhere but here. I think the heat sapped my ability to comment-chat and I started worrying that I’d run out of words — use them all up — leaving me with nothing to say here.
But the fresh breeze that blew into town midweek gave me energy for more than walking and it’s wonderful the places I discovered. There’s a world of people thinking about ways to make life a little better. People eager to share what they’ve learned about ‘their niche’ whatever that might be. And their generous philosophy and genuine kindness actually made me weepy at times.
A blog doesn’t really stand alone — why else would they come with blogrolls built right in? I’ve done tours of the diet blogs in the past. But, in the future I’ll be participating in more of the (newly discovered by me) blog-community activities like BlogTipping.
Who knows what I’ll discover next week? Have you got any links to get me started?

Hi Katiebird,
I got a chuckle from this post… I have wondered at times about running out of words. I have only started, but at times I wonder how long I can keep going. It is funny though… because I am never at a loss for words so I am sure they will keep flowing to the keyboard. Here’s to them flowing for us both!
Hi Kirsten, I wondered if that would sound like a totally silly fear. I’m getting ready to download a couple of your iPopIns. They sound very interesting.
Keeping the words flowing – a blogger credo
I don’t think it is a silly fear… seems like a common one. Your words seem to be flowing well. Thanks for the ipop-in link! Enjoy your ipop-ins!
Hi Kirsten, Thank you for the ipop-ins….I am enjoying them. I’m almost looking forward (almost) to driving to work so I can see how they work as part of my new mix.
I think your logo looks cool over there in the right sidebar (I hope it’s noticed)
Oh… that makes me happy! I hope they make your drive a little better. I think our logo looks awesome over there… thanks again!
Enjoy your holiday!
{{Kirsten}} I’ll try to have an actual review up sometime next weekend.
So far my holiday’s great. I hope the same is true for you.
Blogtipping is a blast and so far I’ve seen that folks are very selective in whom they blogtip. I’ve discovered a lot of great sites this way and it’s another little technique you can use to remind yourself to pay attention to what others are saying and how they say it.
Which is why I didn’t dive right in to do it. I’ll keep my eyes open for just the right one. It’ll keep me on my toes as I go cruising around….
