September 2, 2006 — Just 4 Today

Just 4 today I’ll drink my fiber supplement twice (I’ve taken it once), walk 3 miles (I walked one mile when I mowed the lawn this morning) drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk one).

It’s amazing how many times I don’t take the fiber supplement until I start to type that I will. It just seems to make sense to get up and take it so I can get that out of the way.  It makes me think that I wouldn’t be doing these things so regularly if I wasn’t making this promise everyday.

I wonder what else I should be doing?

Making ourselves accountable to somebody, even a faceless blog reader, has a way of making us keep on track. It just goes to show how easily we can be manipulated, doesn’t it ROTFL!!

I voted for you today on BLOG VILLAGE.

Dirty Butter (I love your name!) — thank you very much. I just found about Blog Village (from a comment at Liz’s Successful Blog and I really like the idea. I’ve started working my way up from the back (figuring that those are the blogs that need attention and votes — but who knows?)

You’re right of course that being accountable so publicly makes a big difference. But it’s also that it defines a day. That as I type it a little tickle at the back of my brain says, “no time like the present” and if I hadn’t been typing it that little spot wouldn’t have been tickled.

Sort of like how I leave my sandwich behind if I don’t put it in my book bag the second I think about it in the morning!

J4T I’ve drank my two liters of water. I’m in here late today, but had to drop by before I head off to bed.

    Hope everyone is doing fine.
