September 29, 2006 — Just 4 Today (and much more)

Just 4 Today logoJust 4 today, I’ll drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk about 1/3 already), walk 3 miles, take my fiber supplement twice (I’ve taken it once) and weigh myself (done!)

I’m sorry about the lack of posting yesterday. Eat4Today was down briefly in the early morning and didn’t go back up until just before I left for work. And I never had time to get back to it. (more)

By the way, things are going very well on those projects at work. But I’ll be getting back into a more regular blogging pattern again tomorrow (Saturday).

I’m looking forward to the challenge. Because while the intensity of doing Eat4Today supports my weight control goals, the intensity of my at-work project would traditionally distract me from them.

I’m happy to say that inspite of that distraction, I haven’t backslid on my commitment. And I’ve so far kept my “Just 4 Today” pledges (especially now that I’ve figured out how to take my fiber supplement without drinking 2 full glasses of water.)

The challenge will be staying committed to my affirmation, pledges and Eat4Today while at the same time continuing to make progress on those projects at work. Of course — that is the challenge of weight control, isn’t it? If we could commit our entire focus to weight control, diet and exercise would any of us have weight problems?

What are you going to do Just 4 Today? And how do you handle your health issues when other (seemingly more pressing) issues demand your attention?

J4T I will drink 2 liters of water. Already over half way there.

That’s an interesting question about how do you handle your health issues when other (seemingly more pressing) issues demand your attention?

Right now with my back out, I still have to take care of FMom, especially since she has fallen and fractured her shoulder. She won’t have anyone else help her and I see no alternative. I have an appointment with a specialist next week and if he tells me anything like bed rest, I won’t be able to do it. So I’m between the proverbial rock and hard place. :)
