I was talking to one of my sisters last weekend and she said something that has been ringing in my ears ever since.
She said, “We just don’t need to eat as much any more.” And that was it. Well, we both sighed.
Ever since that afternoon, as I serve-up each meal, I remember what she said. And I find myself stopping before I take that one extra scoop of rice or dollop of casserole.
From one minute to the next, it joined the list of questions that help:
- Have I already eaten?
- Is this a meal?
- Do I really need to eat this much?
It’s amazingly powerful in a subtle way. Maybe this question could help you, too?
