Just 4 Today, I’m going to drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk 1/3), weigh myself (done!), take my fiber supplement twice (once so far) and walk 3 miles.
What are you going to do today? I hope it’s something fun . . .

Weighed in at Weight Watchers today. I am getting ready to go on vacation Friday and was pleased another pound is gone.
I am now 2/3 of the way to my “60 by 60″– with the actual goal being the end of this year. I think it’s pretty realistic. I’ll be there, or pretty close, by New Year’s Eve, if the slow and steady pace of loss continues.
I am not doing anything dramatic, just writing down EVERYTHING that passes my lips and thinking twice about any indulgence.
The one thing I’m not doing, and keep saying I will, is really exercising ! If I could just get myself moving, literally, I could say with great confidence that I would reach my goal by the end of the year.
Any suggestions ?
Hi catdog, I’m glad to see you again!
The exercise thing is, I think one of the hardest things to build into my day. What seems to work for me is to try for 2 walks a day — usually I get ONE in if I do that. And stand up to think At least then I’m DOING something.
There’ve been some articles lately blasting the idea that walking helps anyone. But speaking ONLY for myself, high intensity cardio workouts have never worked for me. They are too much and while I might do them for a day or two, I burn out and don’t keep up with the habit.
Maybe it’s low expectations. I don’t know for sure. But I can almost always get myself to walk. And that’s got to be better than nothing. Doesn’t it?
(RANT over. Sorry)
