October 25, 2006 — Just 4 Today

Just 4 Today logoI’m in the midst of my most intense work week — I’m leading at least one meeting everyday and two on a couple of days. And I went out last night to have my hair cut and colored (and I’m not a night person — this morning, I’m dragging like I was up drinking till 3am instead of getting home in time to see the end of Boston Legal!)

As a result, I overslept 45 minutes and my brain’s still back on the pillow

But, a commitment is a Commitment — and I’m not going to give into minor setbacks like not having enough energy to reply to catdog’s thoughtful updates to yesterday’s goals. She knows I love her and we’ll talk later today (I hope)

So — Just 4 Today

Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber supplement twice (I’ve drunk it once), walk 3 miles (at 9,12:30 & 3:30 — because of the meetings today), drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk 1/3), weigh myself (done — a couple of those scary pounds disappeared….) and just today — when I start thinking about eating anything extra I’m going to pray for the strength to resist. Just Pray. I hope I don’t offend anyone by this — I’m not saying you should do it. But, I’ve got to find some strength outside myself.

  1. kb, I’m sorry you’re so swamped today! I was so busy yesterday I skipped my walk…but I’m heading out for one now.

    And when I get back, just 4 today, I won’t snack this afternoon.

    We need to do our Wednesday thing later… :)

    It’s been really an incredible week for me. Somehow, I’ve kept up with all the meetings.

    For an introvert like me, it’s taken a lot of planning. This time, I’m the one responsibile for getting people to open up.
