Just 4 Today I’ll drink my fiber supplement twice — Walk 5 miles — Drink 2 liters of water — and NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.
Up until a couple of weeks ago, I would start typing these morning promises and then JUMP UP to drink my fiber supplement — drinking 1/3 liter of water in the process.
But, for the last couple of weeks I haven’t had to do that. I’ve been drinking my fiber supplement even before pouring my coffee. And that seems like a good thing.
I forgot to pick up the yoga books yesterday. So, I’ll add that Just Today, I’ll check out 2 books on yoga.
And, I’m still thinking about Weight Watchers.
What are you thinking about today?

It is a community of people that try to support each other positively with motivation towards their HEALTH goals. {I don’t use the DIEiting word} I just started there the last month or so as a lurker and am really enjoying it. I had to tell you before you put that extra money out there. Look first and then if you don’t like SP the WW is always there Okay! And the rest of Us too.
Hi kb! Just checking in (now that I’ve already done 5 miles this morning; I’m taking CBtE for a mile run this afternoon). Now to complete another section of my paper and not snack all afternoon. Didn’t do so well with that yesterday…
And for Halloween this year, I didn’t buy any candy that I would even be tempted to eat. I hope it works.
I saw you got 5.5 miles in, kb…great job!
Hi Katie!
You blog is looking good and good timing it is.
On Monday I started on suppliments to get rid of extra poundage. It’s this and that in a blender with ice and bananas. Reads awful but tastes ok. We’ll see. What have I got to lose, right?
(frumom & CabinGirl — I was away all day and didn’t get back here — I’m so sorry I missed you. But, I’ll be around for our W3 – Weekly Wednesday Weigh-Ins- day. Not that we actually weigh-in)
Hi Cat. What supplements did you start? Do you eat anything besides the blended fruit? Is it everyday, or a one-day-a-week fast thing?
Me? I know only too well exactly what I’ve got to lose!
And I’d love to hear more about your plans.
Did pretty well on the food today. Didn’t eat all the food on the plate at lunch. Didn’t take seconds for dinner. Allowed myself one treat, and stayed within the plan points this week for a change. I should be fine when I weigh in again, probably Thursday, maybe Friday.
What’s on my mind this evening is something I heard on NPR this morning about the way clothing sizes for women have changed over the years. I looked the subject up on the internet and discovered that what was the very desirable size 8 when I was a kid became size 6 in the ‘60, size 4 in the ’70’s, size 2 in the ’80’s, size 0 (!) in the ’90’s, and is SIZE 00
(oops, hit “submit” prematurely) …SIZE 00 NOW !
When I was a kid, 36-24-36 were the ideal measurements and a size 8 was what you were shooting for on a 5′4″ female– nobody seemed to think about body type.
Now, according to NPR’s report, the average 5′4″ American female weighs 150 lbs. and the old size 8 would never fit such a person.
My personal goal, which is still some weeks away, would have me at least 10 lbs. less. (I am 5′4″) If I continue with serious walking and running, I may get well below that, based on previous experience.
And even though the rack might say “00″ I will be thinking, “Finally, back into size 8 !”
catdog — I’m just under 5′4″ myself, I didn’t realize I was so normal!
I know for a fact about the change in sizes. I’ve got a size 10 skirt that I bought in 1989 and I can’t fit into it after all the weight I’ve lost. But all the skirts I bought this summer are supposed to be size 10s.
It seems that the clothing industry is indulging our egos and bad habits. And it’s NOT to our benefit.
After where I’ve been, I really would be happy with being a size 14. They don’t have to trick me with the size 10 thing. But, hey — life has a lot of unnecessary BAD news.
I guess I’ll take the size 10 and say, THANKS.

Also, I’m very happy for you and your progress. I can’t wait to hear officially how the weigh-in goes.
(Awk! gotta go!)
