October 29, 2006 — Just 4 Today (Writing it down)

Just 4 Today logoJust 4 Today I’ll write down everything I eat or drink (as I did yesterday), drink my fiber supplement twice (I’ve drunk it once already), drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk about 1/3), walk 3 miles (I’ll leave in a few minutes) and NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds!

Have YOU set your clock?

And what are you going to do today?

October 28, 2006 — Just 4 Today (Food Logging edition)

Just 4 Today logoJust 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber supplement 3 times (I’ve drunk it once), drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk 1/3) walk 5 miles, NOT eat between meals, NOT take seconds. And FINALLY move-into the food/nutrition logging program, Performance Diet.

I’ve begun — it is not the most intuitive program I’ve ever used by far. But, I decided that if I didn’t make it work this weekend, I’d ask for my money back (My week is threats)

What are you going to do today? We talk about anything here — it doesn’t have to relate to food and eating and exercise…..

With 65 days ’till New Years are we making progress?

So far I’m not making the progress that I hoped for. But I’m not giving up — in fact I’m filled with dreams and confidence.

Because our Weekly Wednesday Weigh-Ins (The Eat4Today W3) combined with the ticking sidebar clock are helping me stay focused even through this period where “A Diet” can’t be my obsession. Also, the lively conversations on the Just 4 Today pages gives me energy throughout each day — and I hope it does you too.

A lot of trial and error goes on here (I’m currently experimenting with the threat of Weight Watchers if I don’t make real progress this week. Because I know I can lose weight on the Weight Watcher’s program, I’m interested in learning about (and talking about) the changes they’ve made the last couple of years and I’m not proud — I’ll take help wherever I can get it. Plus, I know it will work just fine with my basic goal of not eating between meals and not taking seconds.

So that’s my current experiment — The Eat4Today W3 and the WW threat. What are you working on?
