January 6, 2007 — Just 4 Today

Just 4 Today logoI’d like to say that, Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber supplement twice, drink 2 liters of water, weigh myself (done — I actually did do this), and NOT eat between meals and NOT take seconds.

And that I’ll post Where I give up the Whipping Cream or YOU, on a Diet – Day One

But the problem is that I can’t seem to sit up for more than 15 minutes without tipping over.  I don’t know if it’s the sinus infection, or the drugs they’re giving me.  But, I’m just not up to writing anything of depth.  And I’m certainly not able to walk, stretch or shop — all the things required by Day One of YOU on a Diet.

Still, I’m not going to give in completely — So just for today, I’ll do what I can.  And not one bit more.

    Hope you’re feeling better by now. There are lots of people fighting this thing.

    Yea – I picked up a copy of the book. I haven’t read much yet, but progress, not perfection. :-)

    Thank you so much for your kind words and good thoughts.

    Over the weekend I felt sicker than ever. But today was a little better. I had a CT scan a week ago and have a “true sinus infection” which considering I’ve been taking antibiotics since the day after Thanksgiving is pretty discouraging.

    I promise that I’ll be back here — but I’m not going to post until I feel a lot better.

    I had a raging sinus headache all weekend and can’t miss much more work so I’m really trying to pace myself.

    I am so sorry about this — I even forgot the Eat4Today Blog Anniversary on January 6.

  3. Sorry you’re still under the weather. This is turning out to be like the siege I had last year where I first lost the 10 pounds that got me started loosing weight. So, look for the silver lining– and get better soon !

  4. Hoping you’re up to posting again soon ! I keep checking– and want to share great news. Yesterday my weight was the lowest it has been since fall of 1999 !

    I expect my next WW weigh-in next week to record yet another low. After a sort of plateau for a few weeks, which was actually coasting down about .4 lb per week, and missing a couple of official weigh-ins due to travel and schedule, I seem to be back on track, and it feels really good.

    I have also been dodging relatives with bad colds/sinus infections, and so far seem to have managed to avoid getting sick again. Of course there was no avoiding getting COLD (for S.CA) where we’ve had nighttime temps below freezing for the past week. Warming up a little the past day or two, but we’re not used to this stuff– especially the snow in the ‘Bu, fer cryin’ out loud !

    Really hope you’re up to regular posting again soon– we need you !

    I haven’t been around in a little while and I didn’t know you had been feeling so bad. My thoughts are with you and I hope you get to feeling better soon.
