The other day I wrote a comment in which I noted that I have 12 pounds to go to get back to a “normal” BMI. I hadn’t thought of it that way before, and I find myself feeling a lot more optimistic the past couple of days.
While 12 pounds is the leading edge of normal, 25 less is where I really need to be. Still, the optimism helps a lot. Easier to think of oneself as 12 pounds overweight that 25, right ? 12 is a number I can work with. And all I have to do is keep going !
catdog, that’s a great way of thinking about it. Using that calculation, I’ve got 18 pounds to go and then I’ll be in the leading edge of normal. I’d like to lose 30 pounds — but I’d sure be happy with the 18!
