Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber twice (once so far), drink 2 liters of water (about 1/2 a liter), walk 5 miles (3415 — Yesterday, 5.32), NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.
I was about to express thankfulness because weekdays are so much more predictable than weekends. But I’m getting a crown this afternoon. And there isn’t much to be thankful about that. Well, I am thankful that I have an affordable dentist — but that’s a whole different topic. This is my first crown (I’ll be getting 4 by the end of next month) and depending on how that procedure turns out, I might not be around much today.
But if things go well, I’ll be here for sure (nervous?)
AND . . . what will you be doing today?

Ask them to give you a tiara instead of a crown.
Good luck!
(confusion)
The brain is a mysterious thing. My appointment was switched (about an hour ago) to Wednesday afternoon, and I already completely forgot about it!
Not only will I not be getting either a crown or a tiara today, but I won’t get any lunch either since I didn’t bring anything today.
(sigh)
Hey, that is QUITE a post you wrote at your place.
Hi KB and Kansas.
J4T I’m not doing much at all. I’ve got a migraine started, but it hasn’t gotten bad yet. I’ll have to wait and see as the day progresses.
Hope everyone has a good day.
I wrote this long piece Saturday all ’bout how Harry Potter eve went at the local indy bookstore, and it vanished without a trace.
Suffice it to say, we got a book for the grandling, along with hundreds of others doing the same. There was a count-down to midnight, just like New Year’s Eve. All were in high spirits and cheered when the first person came out of the store (we had to line up, two lines, one prepaid, (our # was 73), and the other not) and held their copy up high for all to see.
Inside there were Weasley-esq named sweets, cookies, and pitcher of “butter beer”– staff were in witch costume and each customer had a chance to get sorted into one of the Hogwarts Houses. (Little one got Gryffindor, I got Hufflepuff.) There were trivia games and temporary tattoos, as well as a Harry Potter crossword puzzle to be worked.
I’m not rushing through the book (my copy came in the mail on Saturday), rather savoring it and noting the bits and pieces of humor– Rowling can be one funny lady !
Also, today 7/23 is Daniel Radcliffe’s 18th birthday. He sounds like a very sensible young man and I wish him well.
Hi all! Too much rain here today to walk today. I still haven’t started reading the new Harry book either . Soon.
Meant to mention, I found over the past few days that, in spite of eating a couple of things I might have left alone– a couple of pieces of chocolate left over from Easter, a piece of cake at a celebration yesterday (it did have bananas between the layers)– that increasing my intake of fruits and vegetables and my liquid intake meant that I actually lost a couple of pounds. I know KB is fearful of between meals eating at all, and doubtless rightly so in most instances, but for me a snack of baby carrots and maybe a tbsp of no-fat ranch dressing helped me keep my balance.
Also, today when I went out to lunch I told the server in advance to make sure half of my order went into a box BEFORE the food came to the table. And, of course, what was actually served was plenty.
Hi catdog,
It sounds like your HP Event was fun — ours was a total madhouse. I know they had things planned, but they were so swamped, there’s no way everyone could have been Sorted. That’s a cute idea though.
