Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber twice (done once!), drink 2 liters of water (about 1/2), walk 5 miles (yesterday — 1.02), NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.
This’ll be short and sweet — I totally overslept & JUST woke up. Well, I have had my fiber supplement and some coffee. But, considering I’m supposed to be in my car right now and I’m blogging in my nightgown, that’s nothing to brag about.
I almost didn’t post at all. But, I’ve learned that if I don’t do anything else in the morning, I’d better post here. It provides the structure to my days. Now I should do the other big thing and take a minute to make lunch!
What are you going to do today?

Routines are important, aren’t they? I did fairly well myself by dragging myself out of bed in time to make coffee, check my (work) email, answer a couple comments in my own blog, and get on the road a little earlier than I have this week.
Unfortunately, this is supposed to be my work at home day, and I shouldn’t have had to drive in anyway.
Routines. We were talking about routines. J4T I’ll make lunch (in the crock pot now), take my fiber supplement, drink my water and get a walk in (treadmill if it’s raining). I will also avoid, as much as possible, thinking I’d be better off as a chicken rancher. I wouldn’t.
This time of year, because it’s darker later in the a.m. mostly, is hard for me. I like to wake up with the sun. In the summer, that means getting up early, before the heat of the day, and somehow that works well even though I stay up pretty late most nights.
Now, it’s dark later in the morning and I want to stay in bed. The fact that I have something going on outside the house, a function, a meeting, a social event, almost every night lately means I’m really tired by the time I do get to bed, and need some extra sleep.
Lack of sleep means less energy for exercise means stalling on weight loss. Have to turn that around, but having a meaningful routine these days seems to elude me.
The image I have to keep before me is the truly scary way I looked before I set off on this effort 18 months ago. The mantra is “NEVER GO BACK !”
Yup, sounds about right, catdog.
Levity for the day…
Hope you had a good day, KB. No walking today.
