Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber twice (done once!), drink 2 liters of water (about 1/2), walk 5 miles (yesterday — 4.42), NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.
And now for something completely different: Maybe it’s wishful thinking: I’m waiting for Al, how about you? Run, Al — RUN!
[UPDATED]
A lot of people are hoping that Gore gets in the race:

[Update]Al Gore Unexpectedly Going Out of the Country Tomorrow by MarkInSanFran
From the Huffington Post:
Five years ago, tomorrow, the United States Senate voted for a war in Iraq, a war that is destroying our country from the inside. Five years ago, on the exact same day Jimmy Carter won his Nobel Prize.
Tomorrow, you will win or you will lose, it doesn’t really matter. For a moment, the world will be your stage, for a fleeting moment, the world will see that last flame of hope for literally millions of Americans will be in your hands, and Tipper’s.
You have two choices.

Darn! I really need to keep up with current events. Showing my ignorance again, kb – Al who?
How’s your foot? If you’re walking again, I’m hoping it’s healed.
Hi Beth, Al Gore — and I’ve Updated the post. Just Today, some politics. I hope I don’t scare anyone off!
Ah, thanks! That helps. They don’t put much political news on ESPN –
Waiting for Goredot
Well, that didn’t work! I’ll fix it later….
Katie,
I’d love to see Al Gore run too. Though he seems to have found ways to serve without being in office, which is great too.
Have a wonderful day,
Kimberly
Morning KB and everyone.
I’m with you on wanting to see Al run, but I just don’t see it happening. Don’t mean to bring a downer in this. I agree with Kimberly that he’s found ways to serve without being in office, and I think maybe in his life that is more fulfilling. So far I’ve never heard a president talk about how fulfilling the job is. It’s usually more about power. However, if Gore did decided to run, I would be behind him.
Go Al go! His (anticipated) entry into the race can’t come soon enough.
I pretty much agree with everything FM said. One thing to add: historically, at least in my lifetime, you get the nomination once and only once (either party). I can’t remember the last time someone got the nomination, lost the general, then got nominated again.
Expected office visitor has just arrived, I’ll be back to J4T this afternoon.
Well, HE may be more fulfilled, but we’re not going to be unless we get someone who will not just win, but lead with a vision. And so far, he’s the only one who seems like enough of a visionary.
And he hasn’t said the magic words as said my Lyndon Johnson (March 31, 1968), “Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President.”
He’s not seeking it, but he hasn’t said that he wouldn’t accept it.
ALSO, there is significant doubt that he LOST the 2000 election. He certainly won the popular vote and a lot of us think he actually won the electoral votes too.
PS, Adlai Stevenson: 1952 & 1956
Yikes, that sounds snippy — I didn’t mean it to be at all, I’ve just got to type and run and had a lot to say.
I actually have no idea if he’ll do it or not. I’m just hoping, that’s all.
Boo to me for not checking in! But I have been doing the daily commitment thing on my own. I’ve been exercising more, eating better, and going to sleep at a decent time (says a lot for a nightowl like me). Just wanted to drop a note to say hello and hope you’re all doing good!
Regarding Al, I think everyone is hungry for a leader who calls on each of us to improve the world around us, not condemn and divide. It would be refreshing to have a President like that, one that speaks us all and not just to certain (often monied) interests.
Hi, Manny! I’m glad things are going so well for you. Still I’m even happier to see you here.
I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in having “Live” meetings in Second Life? I just went to a demonstration and there’s a whole Island of Libraries there.
I’d be interested in hosting meetings a couple of times a week if anyone would come.
Hah, I said “in my lifetime” …. and since I was born in 1958…..
But I’d be thrilled if Al jumped in, and I agree that he (and America) was cheated in 2000… which does kind of leave my theory hanging in the breeze as far as Al’s concerned. I just don’t think he’ll jump in again though, even if (as I’m guessing) there’s not a lot of love between him & Hillary. If we end up with a brokered convention, though?
But we love computer-generated music, right? After all, it’s got that “Al Gore rhythm.”
And me? Born in 1954 & I’ve been dyeing my hair for 25 years. (sigh)
Hah! You youngsters. 1953 for me.
Boy, I’m the spring chicken here – 1959!
FamilyMan, what month? (sneaky, hum?)
FAR, I thought — Oh, my sister, ‘B’ was born that year. And Beth, my brother, ‘J’ was born your year. The ’50’s were fun, weren’t they?
I don’t remember the ’50s… so was I there?
