Eat4Today at Second Life

I bought some land and unpacked that cottage-in-a-box!!  Here are the coordinates if you want to teleport to it:  (14, 252, 76) AND a picture:

The doors unlocked, but there’s no furniture yet….

Tonight and tomorrow, I’ve got a couple of meetings with some educators who’ve done seminars in 2nd Life.  I’m hoping to get some pointers about how to publicize sessions.  And how to create handouts and displays.  Also, the little piece about actually doing VOICE in Second Life.  So far all I’ve done is type.  Much like here.  :)

Did I mention my Second Life name?  It’s katiebird Fullstop.  Have you joined yet?

    I just talked to the guy who put on the John Dean discussion last week. He’s going to help me find permanent public space.

    He’s hosting an event with George Lakoff on December 6th.

    Now I can buy some clothes, knowing I’ve got a place to change!

    Hi katiebird, I’ve heard about second life but haven’t joined….it looks very similar to Sims (my favorite game), I’m sure I’d like it. I’ve also heard that businesses are using it for virtual meetings….quite interesting.

    Hi JoLynn, I used to play a lot of SimCity, but haven’t spent time with the Sims.

    I’d love to see if in Second Life if you do join.
