Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber twice (done soon
), drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk about nothing), walk 5 miles (yesterday .25), NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.
What IS a meal on Thanksgiving Day?
We’re having our daughter
What are you going to do today?
J4T Today…
I will try very hard to enjoy my Thanksgiving food… NOT binge on it.
I know this is purely a psychological difference and does not pertain to the amount or type of food… but it is something very important to me that I have been working on very hard.
I have already reached my goal weight and been able to maintain for months… and I think for life. So now… it is only the psychological aspects of eating habits that I need to solve.
I hope you all have a fabulous holiday surrounded by good friends.
Hey Bombshell! It’s good to ‘see’ you! Have a wonderful day. I’m feeling pretty confident about the day. We’ve got our daughter today and I’m happy about that.
I had my regular cereal for breakfast and I haven’t broken any rules.
But, as I asked — ARE the rules a little different today? Should they be?
My rules are:
1. No meals other than Thanksgiving dinner.
2. No counting calories.
3. No eating until sickeningly full.
I also had a cup of hot cocoa for breakfast. : )
Ah, well! I THINK I accidentally did #3…. The dinner was just too good and well, I enjoyed it.
But, it was THE meal for the day. If we eat anything else it will be turkey sandwiches at about 6:30.
We had a very nice time. It’s the first time we had one of our kids for a holiday meal.
Happy Thanksgiving KB and Bombshell!
I just got back from my brother’s house for T’giving. I’m not even going to mention what we had, because my family always over does it. We only had about 18 there this year which is about a small/medium family gathering for us.
I hope ya’ll T’giving was good.
Hi FM, we had a great time. And now, we’ve got some peace — it’s just the two of us until sometime tomorrow.
I’m glad you had fun too.
I was on my feet much of the day with the cooking. My actual food consumption was pretty moderate, and I sent most of the left-overs home with my daughter and son-in-law.
I’m sleepy and really tired of football, but other than that, not too much damage done.
I catdog! I’m pretty tired too. I ate too much for dinner (at 2pm) but haven’t wanted to eat since. So, I don’t think I did too bad either.
We didn’t watch even a minute of football. Is that bad?
Not watching football is not bad, IMHO. But Mr. is a USC alum, so what are you going to do on T-Day, besides eat ? You are going to have the tv on for USC football, that’s what you’re going to do. That’s just the way it is.
The good news is that I didn’t have to suffer through a UCLA game as well- the son-in-law is a graduate of that esteemed establishment, so you can imagine how it can get around here. Their game is Saturday vs. Oregon at the Rose Bowl, and I plan to be out of the house, and nowhere near Pasadena.
Now pardon me while I plan my exercise calendar for the next few days. I have a half marathon coming up and I need to pay more attention than I have been.
The big game in these parts is tomorrow: KU (Undefeated) vs MU (one loss). Somehow both these traditional rivals are having a great football season. It’s really weird. KU isn’t known as a Football school. Basketball is it’s thing.
I don’t think I can get out of watching that game. I’m a Jayhawk. I didn’t graduate from K.U. But I took about 50 hours of classes there. And worked in the libraries there for 9 years.
