Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber twice (done once), drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk about 1/2 liter), walk 5 miles (yesterday 3.0), NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.
Again, I say: Everytime I turn around, it’s Friday. And that’s a good thing. Keep these weeks flying by, because I need those weekends to rest.
Yesterday, I walked for 1/2 hour at the gym and went wandering around the upstairs offices at any excuse. But that was the only exercise I got. I never even thought of going for a walk. And I have a feeling that today could be even worse. I’ve got 2 things on my “must be completed today” list — and a meeting from 10:30-12.
Maybe if I turn around a couple of times it’ll be 5 p.m (and I’ll be all caught up.) ….
What are you going to do today?

I love to come here. It’s so comforting to find that you are still on track. I have been sick twice this month — very unusual for me. It has totally upset my workout schedule. And with Thanksgiving…I wouldn’t be surprised if my blood sugar was still not back to normal.
When I finish battling this cold, I plan to jump back into a healthier routine with vigor. I know you’re very busy, so thanks for keeping up with your blog and your routine of healthy living. You are an inspiration.
Hugs,
Kimberly
Hey all.
Kimberly, I have a cold too. What fun.
Oh well, I’ll get my walk in one way or another & try to get some real work done. My big monitor seems to have checked out, so I’ll be working off the laptop screen exclusively.
Add me to the cold group … ugh.
(Sorry about your monitor FAR! yikes)
Hope everyone gets some rest this w/e.
And I hope you had a good day today katieb!
Actually, it looks like it’s the DVI-to-VGA adapter cable that’s shot. I hope it’s not the DVI port itself, that will require repair (fortunately warranty, but I don’t want the downtime).
Eh. At least it’s Friday!
I’m writing this on Sunday morning. My granddaughter has been in the hospital since Wednesday evening. She’s had a nasogastric tube in since then, which is probably going to come out today, we hope. We don’t know when she will be going home.
She’s 8 years old and we don’t know why she has this intestinal blockage yet. She’s been a real trooper, in spite of some things that are pretty hard for a little one to go through.
She is able to get up and go to the play room on her floor of the hospital, and has been able to enjoy the crafts and games with the other kids.
Yesterday the high point was probably the visit of Jackson, a gorgeous chocolate colored standard poodle, to the unit. He is such a sweetheart ! The kids get a chance to pet him and have their pictures taken. The Animal Assisted Therapy Program is wonderful. http://www.childrenshospitalla.org/bodynews.cfm?id=13&action=detail&ref=352
She’s been on clear liquids only since Wednesday. Family members are with her 24/7 (there’s a chair/bed in the room).
Guess the good news is that she had the medical coverage to have this excellent care.
I got in some walking Friday, but I couldn’t do the half marathon this morning what with being tied up at the hospital. I didn’t get home until about 9:30 last night. Oh well, next year.

I am so sorry. This would be horrible if you KNEW why she’s sick. That they can’t find the cause of the problem must be a nightmare.
My love and prayers are with you and your granddaughter.
