Just 4 Today, I’ll drink my fiber twice (done once), drink 2 liters of water (I’ve drunk about 1/2 liter), walk 5 miles (yesterday 1.10), NOT eat between meals & NOT take seconds.
It looks like I’m going to be busier than I like (and what I like best is stretching out on the couch to read) through the month at least. I talked to someone yesterday who said she was in a pre-Christmas panic. And I had to stop to think of what that meant. I’ve barely given Christmas a thought. And at this rate won’t until about the 23rd of the month — unless I give all that Tupperware I bought last month away for presents. Then I won’t have to think about it at all!
Our middle child is 31 years old today. Where does the time go?
What are you going to do today?

G’morning, kb. I’m with you on the Dec. 23 thing. No second helpings of shopping, and no shopping between Dec. 1 and Dec. 23.
December is always a crazy month for me. This year has been atypical — usually, October through December are crazy (with a short break at the beginning of November). Mrs. Fetched and I are stretching next weekend to 3 days and getting that Christmas shopping done. Then maybe we can mostly relax through the second half of December.
I *think* the lighting is done now. Hopefully all the rain we had last night (hooray!) didn’t short anything out.
Had to have a blood test today, which meant that I fasted from about 4 p.m. Sunday. Finally, I ate at Ruby Tuesdays while chatting with a stuck writer friend. I ATE SALAD. Oh my, gawd! Salad as a meal. What is wrong with me? Where is the meat (okay there were little pieces of ham strips)? Where is the chocolate? Tomorrow, I’ll do better, and get back to the farmer’s breakfast after taking down and chopping up a diseased oak tree. Y’all have a great day.
Hi KB. I highly recommend on line shopping. I’ve done most of mine on the internet and even got free shipping on some items.
My month looks pretty peaceful, for the first time in forever. Being so far from friends, there aren’t any parties, I won’t be giving many presents, so I’m not running around the stores. I’m not traveling. So this month should look like any other. If you need to shift some of your holiday stress this way, I have room for it!
And I just bought the Mucinex, kb – thanks for the advice. Hopefully it’ll help. It’s my last stab before I see someone official.
The good news is the grandling is out of the hospital as of this afternoon. It was a looooong weekend, most of which I spent with her there. Looks like things are going to be ok, and she is anxious to get back to school.
She is supposed to be on a high fiber diet now, which I am working on with her. Explaining high fiber to an 8 year old works better if you can do it in a grocery store, which is where we went after she was released so we could make sure the right kinds of foods would be in the house.
Bags of fruit, vegetables, and whole grain cereal and pasta– she gets the picture. Watching quantities and making sure she drinks plenty of water. Hmmm. Sound familiar ?
Ah, {{{Catdog}}}
I’m so relieved. Thank you VERY much for the update. I’ve been worried about her.
Can you stay home for a day or so to catch up on rest?
Rest ? What’s that ? Actually, it’s my daughter who spent every night at the hospital and then went to work who needs the rest !
