It’s like learning a new job. Yesterday was prepare the trash day. Which means lots of paper sorting and cleaning and bagging trash. It turns out they pick up the trash at about 8:45am — who knew? If it was left up to me the trash wouldn’t have made it out because I was still in my robe. But mister knew to get it to the curb yesterday.
Today?
We mowed lawns. With rain expected tomorrow he wanted to get yard work done today (he planted a couple of privit hedges too). Walking while lawn mowing was about 3.28 miles.
And my actual walk this morning was 3.15 so I’ve gotten a lot of exercise.
I’ve settled on faking myself out by calling these next couple of weeks “vacation” maybe by the time there up I won’t notice that I’m not going back.
I’ve got a lot of ideas for Eat4Today as the summer progresses but it looks like the actual implementation will reflect the pace of the rest of my adjustment. I’m hoping to spare you most of the details. But don’t be too surprised if some of it leaks out.
The Summer of Revelations may effect our lives in more ways than one….

Um… how did the trash get out last week, and the week before, etc.?
Our best chance at rain has moved from Friday to Saturday, so I have plenty of time to deal with the lawn after picking blackberries.
So anyway, when you start working on stuff, you might want to take a look at the comments box. Some of the comments are from a couple years ago…
Hi KB and FAR.
KB you’re on vacation for the rest of your life. Ahh retirement, it’s a great way of life.
J4T I’ll drink 2 liters of water and work on cleaning the house. My brother and sil got in yesterday, and I don’t know how they do it, but the house is already a wreck. One day I might get across to them that this isn’t a hotel.
Hope everyone is doing fine today.
HUH! There’s something wrong with my log-in (or there was yesterday) and I didn’t get my email notification.
FAR, I cleaned out the spam comments on old post — thanks for pointing it out.
Also, I don’t know if you remember it but, you recommended a book for getting organized and I bought it last Christmas — right before I started getting sick. I think NOW is a good time for digging into it. (I’ll have to find where I stuck it first….)
FM — you are my shining example.
HI KB,
Happy 4th of July!
Just4today I am going to eat anything I want, drink lots of water and hang a flag on my treadmill.
Tomorrow, back to being sensible and smart. Just4today, I’m gonna forgedaboutit.
Hi Marge! I’ll have a post up in a little while and it’s great to see your goals
