Time flies when you don’t look at it closely. Doesn’t it?
I’ve been spending most days at my parent’s house. Cleaning their house in the morning and working on stuff with my dad in the afternoon. Then I come home, take a walk with mister and the dog (Tommy), help with dinner & the dishes and wow — it’s time for bed! Somewhere in that my focus and commitment to Eat4Today slide away.
What a mistake.
Things happen when I lose my focus. Things like getting up and eating crackers and dip while completely forgetting that I’m working on a post. A post about getting a grip. Commitment.
Well, that’s changing folks. I’m BACK!
What about you? How have things been going for you lately?

Woohoo!!! KB’s back!
Things are about the same, standing in the middle of a tornado with everything swirling around me and occasionally banging me on the head.
I’m thinking it’s time to bring the Evil Exerbike back into the house and start using it.
{{FARfetched}} Yep, I’m back…..
welcome back to the virtual world. Good to hear you’ve been walking. With all the snow and ice, walking is a pain unless it’s inside and walking inside bores me. sigh.
Mary, walking in bad weather has actually been one of the most difficult things about my retirement. In the past, I always (since 1979) could walk around a nice big library (even climbing stairs) when the weather was bad. It doesn’t take that many laps around a building to walk a mile and you can usually sneak it in a couple of times a day without people freaking out. And it turns out, they feel so guilty for not walking themselves, they DON’T freak out about it (I like to daydream while I walk to make doing it inside more interesting).
But, it’s not that easy to do in your own (or parent’s) house.
I snapped into focus though yesterday. I’m just going to start ducking out of my parents house every hour or so for a quick walk around the block. (nodding) It’ll make a huge difference.
