I’m not going to eat between meals & I’m not going to take seconds. AND – I’ll walk at least 3 miles (I promise!) drink my fiber supplement & drink 2 liters of water.
My problem (if it IS a problem) is that once I woke up and started doing stuff — I started doing A LOT of stuff! I’ve gathered all the info I need to do our taxes, helped Tommy (our dog) get healthy & legal, begun writing THIS blog & at The Confluence again, AND I’ve been working on websites. There’s more but, some of it’s embarrassing to admit….
Anyway, one lesson is that if I’m going to start the day with an affirmation and some positive thinking — I’d BETTER start the day with it.
Another lesson? If all this came easy no one would be writing blogs about it.
What do you think? Tell me about the ups and downs of your life.
I think you’re somewhat of a superwoman
. I feel like I accomplished a lot today. One thing I hate, hate, hate is to take my car in to be serviced. But this morning I not only took my car in, we took in my husband’s car, too, and got two oil changes and a coolant flush. Taa Daa!
Some other things I’m proud of finally starting on/continuing/getting finished: Getting a place to stay for hubby’s birthday celebration, at a discounted rate; starting the taxes; working on my sitting/dressing room (one of the kids’ old rooms); asking some in-depth questions about the life insurance of the agent; working on a change in my will.
It’s been a fruitful week, so far, but I don’t feel especially stressed, except for having been at the car place this morning – that gives me the freakin’ heebiejeebies! I guess because, when we had less money, they could put a BIG dent in my wallet, and did on a regular basis.
My ups and downs are that the more I do, the more there is to do! Like you, I always feel a bit overwhelmed. And never caught up, sigh.
{{Alex}} That’s so kind but, believe me — I’m not a superwoman. Also, I know exactly what you mean about the heebiejeebies & for exactly the same reasons!
Conda, it makes it a little easier to know that someone like you gets overwhelmed too — I go to your site for inspiration!
You’re so right, KB. I need to walk first thing in the morning because if I plan to do it later, “later” never comes. I’ll do my best to walk early tomorrow! Thanks for the reminder.
Beth (I’m so glad to see you!!) — pray for me. Tomorrow morning they say it’ll be 0 degrees & I don’t know what to do if it’s really that cold. That’s scary cold.
You might be walking for me!
Oh ick, KB! I’m going to walk in my living room – just bought a new CD. It’s going to be 45 tonight, so I won’t be walking outside either! 0 – brrrrrrrr! Stay inside! Walk around your living room – or the ghost mall. I’ll send warmth your way when it comes back!
Hall walking is a GREAT Idea, Beth — I used to do that all the time. As long as it’s below 10, I’m NOT leaving the house though. So, the Ghost Mall is iffy.
Still, it’s not all bad — if I stay inside all day, I could probably get my updates for Nancy Pickard’s site done….
Hey, I started my taxes today too! Oh wait, it’s Thursday. Oh well. I know what it’s like though to hit the ground running; you just have to not let your feet get out from under you.
I used to walk (or ski) fairly regularly in below-zero weather in college, you just have to dress for it like anything else. Zero and calm? No problem. Zero and windy? Problem. It’s 30 and windy here, bad enough but survivable without too much extra stuff.
Hope you get your walk in!
Crap, FAR — I WROTE a post this morning!! I don’t know what happened to it??
We didn’t get that REALLY cold weather so things are OK-ish. But, I’m not gonna lie to you. This winter is the worst ever.
