The knitting metaphors are working for me this week so, I guess I’ll stick with it….
One of the reasons I stopped my regular posts was that for 2 years my shoulder hurt so steadily sometimes it was all I could think about. And getting online to whine about my stupid shoulder seemed self absorbed and boring. But, I wasn’t really thinking (much) about anything else.
So it was quite a thrill to find that after knitting for about a month the pain in my shoulder is pretty much gone. I mean totally gone for hours and even days at a time!!
So how’s that for a pattern? Also, the new scarf I’m working on has a lacy edge…..
Just 4 Today, I’ll walk at least 3 miles, drink at least 2 liters of water and take my fiber supplement twice. What are you going to do today?
Yay that knitting has helped your shoulder somehow, KB! And you create pretty things in the process. How good is that? And it’s nice to see you out and about again!
Thanks Beth! It’s good to see you here!!!
I’m really excited about having something pretty to show for my “therapy sessions” ! My first couple of scarfs have some interesting mistakes but, I think they’ll look good in my “Basket of Scarves” when winter gets here.
The other good thing about it is that It’s pretty much impossible to eat and knit at the same time. So it’s really enforcing my “don’t eat between meals” rule.
It’s been ages since we’ve talked :: Are you traveling these days or settled someplace?
Oh, traveling, KB. I’ve been in Idaho since the end of June. Heading back to FL next month. Not sure where I’ll end up – someplace warm, that’s for sure! Looking forward to seeing pictures of your handiwork! xo
Huh, amazing what a tiny bit of motion can do for a sore joint. Yay for improvements!
I’ve already cleared my work inbox today, so that leaves drinking my water and getting some kind of exercise in.
