Is age a factor? 

I don’t have that much new to report except that I have actually broken into the program and begun entering my personal statistics. The data entry screens work easily and some of the things can be automatically calculated.I have had a moment or two of insecurity related to the fact that none of the documents or software appear to have been updated since 2002. Which in a field that’s evolved as much as the nutrition/health field seems unnessarily out of date.

I’m trying not to get to bent out of shape about that until I actually test the software for usefullness. It does have a 90 day return policy. So if I’m unhappy about the features or effectiveness, I can return it. And if I’m happy? Who cares when it was last updated. Well, the geek in me sort of cares . . . .

The Performance Diet an Introductory Evaluation

I’ve started digging into The Performance Diet — and it’s a real surprise. They have about 50 pages of introductory information that they want us to read before even opening the software. And they are serious.

I clicked on the desktop icon that normally (I would have said always before this) starts a software program, and was taken to a Welcome Message with two buttons. The first says, How to Start Your Diet Program, the other says, I want to take a tour. And I’m pretty sure they take you to the same place :) ! (I stumble into an alternate universe) Continue reading
