Oops… I bought a gigantic bag of Chex Mix at the BJs today. That was probably a mistake. Even if I take it to work and nibble at it over the course of a month, that's probably a meal or two worth of calories that I wouldn't have munched otherwise.

Meanwhile, we have a 2.5-year old toddler running loose in the house. He's weighed 27lb for a year now, and has zero fat on him. I try not to dwell on the implications. :-P But he does have a rather erratic eating schedule; he'll eat one full meal and half of another on any given day.

The trolls didn't show up here - it was at my other blog, The Confluence ... I cross post the stories and I went ahead and kept the warning in just for consistency. We don't get that much activity here anymore but the post got over 50 comments at The Confluence! .... Stop by there if you want to see some REAL conversation! Although, I'm hoping things will pick up here too. I hate to let it go.

I think we all have our triggers. For a while I was filling water bottles at Whole Foods filtered water station for my parents (they have their own filtering system now) and every time I stopped in, I'd get a big fat cinnamon roll. Yum. But then, even if I didn't need water, I'd think of something I needed from WF .. seafood or something .. and (oh yes!) pick up a cinnamon roll while I'm at it.

If there's anything I hate worse than wasting money, it's wasting money and getting fat at the same time!

What happened, you get some spam yesterday? Those goofballs will crap pretty much anywhere. Political spam, regardless of the message it's trying to convey, simply says that candidate or PAC doesn't "get" the Internet.

Very good point about getting control early. Toast & cheese doesn't appeal to me as a breakfast, but it's pretty easy to convince myself that stopping off at the Bojangles or Krystal for breakfast isn't going to hurt anything. WRONG.

Hi Larry! It was WEIRD -- I almost resorted to medication... But, as I said we've got two dogs now and the forced-walks helped a lot.

Funny thing, right after I posted this I heard that the MIL had (overnight) eaten all the Peeps. So, who knows what the future holds there. I'm pretty sure I'd never touch one again if it was me who'd nearly chocked on a marshmallow!

Did I read that your days of baby-sitting chickens are gone?

Okay then! That's some wild and crazy swings there — congrats to the BIL and to you & your guy for rescuing the mother-in-law. (I tell ya, chickens are evil… even the marshmallow ones.)
